Like-Minded: The Lucky Penny Website

This morning I stumbled across an interesting website that is in a similar spirit to the Lucky Penny Journal -below is the first sentence on the homepage:

"[The Lucky Penny Website] is dedicated to the veneration of a beneficent yet neglected deity: Token, the Lucky Penny God."
Enjoy! :)

Who says pinching penny's doens't pay off?

I haven't been making as many posts here on the Lucky Penny Journal recently, but I continue to find and track my lucky penny finds.   As of this writing,  I've accumulated the following:

Grand Total:

$174.47CAN
US$2.59
£0.31 (Pounds)
0.06 (Jiao)
MEX$1.00
BD$0.01
€0.07

The Bermuda cent was an interesting find.  You can find out more about the Bermudian Dollar on Wikipedia.

When you tell people, "I've found about $175.00 worth of lucky pennies", people start to see that pinching lucky pennies may, in fact, pay off :)

Have a lucky day!

  • Mex: MEX$1.00
  • BD$: $0.01
  • Euro €0.05
For those of you who regularly find Canadian coins, you may want to check out my checklist of potentially valuable Canadian coins.  As always, the general rule for valuable coins is that "anything out of the ordinary should be put aside for further investigation."

The most interesting coin I've found recently has been the Bermudian cent (listed in the total above under BD$).  You can start finding out about the interesting history behind this currency on the Bermudian dollar Wikipedia article.
